Hi, I’m Nicole. I’m a mother to a 6 year old daughter, registered midwife and accredited type-1 child car restraint installer in Melbourne’s northern suburbs.

I started Safe Kids In Car Seats in 2024 as a side-hustle business to my career as a midwife. I am so passionate about child car safety and endeavour to help educate caregivers around Melbourne to be able to confidently and safely use their child restraint and keep their kids as safe as they can be on our busy roads.

From working in childcare through university, to day-care and school drop off with my own daughter, I have witnessed very poor practices in regards to transporting children. This highlighted the need for more education in the community, because when we know better, we do better.

My aim is to empower parents and caregivers through education to ensure they are able to keep their children as safe as they can be, every time they are in the car, from that anxious first drive home from hospital as a tiny newborn, to big kids going to school.

I am an accredited type-1 child restraint fitter. I have a current working with children check and and I am insured.
