At Safe Kids in Car Seats, I offer a comprehensive service to meet all your child car restraint needs.
For your convenience and comfort I am a mobile service and will meet you at your home to install, check and educate you on the proper use of your child restraint.
I follow best practice principles when providing my service. I will always educate and advocate for using your restraint to the maximum. This means ensuring children remain rear-facing until they reach the second height marker on extended rear-facing seats or when they turn 4 years old; keeping children in fully harnessed seat until they outgrow it (type-G seat) and then moving to a high-exit booster seat until they can pass the 5-step test to travel without a restraint.
Please note that I will not change a seat from rear-facing to forward-facing unless your child is over 12 months of age AND meets the minimum height marker on their seat. I will always advocate that your child remains rear-facing until they reach the second height marker to protect their developing head, neck and spine in the event of an accident.

Expecting a new baby soon and need a capsule or rear-facing restraint installed? Has your toddler outgrown their rear-facing restraint and you’re ready to convert it to forward-facing? I am here to help with that!
This comprehensive service includes installing your chosen restraint into the car, education on all features and how to properly adjust the seat, and for first time parents/carers, a demonstration with a newborn-sized doll. I can also advise at what age and size you will need upgrade to the next appropriate restraint, and can give recommendations to you.
Car Seat Safety Checks and Minor Adjustments
$40 check and minor adjustments
$15 for a virtual consult
If you have installed your child car restraint but need help with headrest, harness strap and crotch strap height adjustments, require a top tether to be moved to the other side of the restraint for rearward facing, need to attach a tether extender for your seat or other minor adjustments. I can check and advise you to ensure your little one is safe and comfortable. Virtual safety check can be conducted if you need a second opinion on how your child is strapped in or sitting in their seat, I can offer advice or how to adjust over the phone via video call or text message. (*One complimentary virtual consult available for clients when I have installed their newborn seat)
More complex adjustments will be charged at the full installation fee.
